Thanksgiving Beers
What are you having/did you have for Thanksgiving this year? Earlier this summer one of our local bottle shops in Kansas City was selling La Brasseurs de Gayant (France) beers for $3.50/ea (750ml caged & corked or Grolsch style swingtops) when you bought 4+, so I thought "what the hell" and bought a few. The only I have had was their witbier, which is lemony and FREAKING DELICIOUS. This is my favorite wit, without a doubt, so after trying that I went back and bought several more bottles of Amadeus and a few more of their other styles, both which happen to be biere de garde. Reading Garret Oliver's book I noticed that Thanksgiving is perfect for the biere de garde style, so it turns out that I have 2-3 bottles each of Saint Landelin La Divine and Goudale, both made by La Brasseurs de Gayant. Also a bottle of Schlafly's Biere de Garde that I've had forever.
So, we'll see if Garret is correct or not! lol

I had Brooklyn Oktoberfest
I had Brooklyn Oktoberfest and Penn Weizenbock for dinner and for desert I had leftovers from show 149: Chocolate Indulgence and Mokah. Then I finished off with a Ten Fidy can from last winter. Delicious.

Thanksgiving was in October for me... I had a 650ml of Great Lakes Orange Peel Ale (that's the Ontario Great Lakes not the Ohio Great Lakes)
