Oh, I was SO frustrated listening to the preshow of episode 148 today! GRRRR! Jeff was about to tell us what the menu items from his beer dinner were and Greg, you stepped in and said no one cared. WHAT?! So, instead of letting Jeff fill in some blanks on something beer-relevant that also tied in with another show, we got to hear you pontificate about local Pittsburgh elections and how you think Twitter is evolving from "What are you doing?" to "What would you like to share?" OMFG!
Shows have been great, keep up the good work, but Jeff, don't let Greg walk all over you when you want to share something relevant, and, Greg, there is plenty of time in the preshow and postshow for you to get your 2 cents out, so don't be so quick to squash Jeff. Sheesh!
Sorry 'bout that. I just
Sorry 'bout that. I just figured that since it was beer related, it would be better to cover it on the show, and get Jeff's excitement about it on the more listened to version of our podcast instead of the pre/post show, which is usually just for us to pontificate about other crap, like you said. I did step on Jeff there but I thought it was for good reason. Guess I was wrong.
Was it covered in the show?
Did you cover the menu in the show? In show 147 (I think), you stopped Jeff from talking about the beer dinner in the preshow, which I understand, and he DID go into it in the main show, but he was having trouble remembering a lot of the names of the dishes, instead referring to them like "a bowl of hot cheese, what's it called?" and "a bowl of thick cream, what's that called?"
In the next show, which I think was #148, he had brought the menu so he could tell us listeners what those dishes were called, and you squashed him. I don't think he covered the menu later in the main show.
I was particularly interested in this because I remember a dish in Italy from when I lived there which is basically a pottery bowl full of bubbling, baked mozzarella and it's about the best thing I've ever eaten. I was curious if this is what Jeff had enjoyed, but we'll never know because you wanted to talk about the über-important local political scene! lol
