OK, so March is going to be a busy bunch of weekends traveling to teach for me. I will be in the Netherlands, Wilmington, Delaware and San Jose, just outside of San Francisco, and the next month I'll be in Harrisburg, PA. These are SHORT trips, so I'm looking for one or two beer-related things to possibly do while there. Will check BA's forums, too, but I thought you guys would be good to ask for DE and HArrisburg. Thanks!
San Jose is a tough one,
San Jose is a tough one, The Firehouse in Sunnyvale is ok, But if you are up for the drive. Go to one of these:
San Francisco:
21st Ammendment
Toronado
Magnolia
City Beer
Hayward:
The Bistro
Oakland:
The Trappist
Stay away from Faultline and Tied House in Sunnyvale. There are better ways to spend your time.
Harrisburg: Go to either Appalachian Brewing Company, or Shady McGrady's
Beer Culture in Harrisburg PA, Wilmington DE
I live in the NE US so can't speak to CA or the Netherlands, but:
Harrisburg - must must must try to go to Troegs Brewing Co. If you are there on a Saturday they have tours, but can go any day but Sunday. Hopback Amber, Troegenator, and the seasonal Nugget Nectar are some of the best beers in PA IMO.

Wilmington DE -
Iron Hill brew pub. They are a small chain brew pub but each has their own brewmaster and they can experiment with whatever they want. The Wilmington DE location has a decent brewmaster and I've had some really good stuff there. http://www.ironhillbrewery.com/wilmington/
Since it's hard and expensive to buy single bottles and six packs in PA, I'd check out "Total Wine and More" for great selection of stuff in the area and beyond. http://www.totalwine.com/
Good hunting!
Yes I didn't mention Troegs
Yes I didn't mention Troegs because it's a production brewery and was only recommending retail locations. Shady McGradys should have a lot of troegs available to drink. However if you are there for the tour, it's a good call.
I actually tried an
I actually tried an outstanding, you could say "wow" beer from the Wilmington, DE Iron Hill at a tasting last night. It was there Oak Aged Quadrupel and it was outstanding. I have no idea how limited the beer is or it is still available, but give it a try if you ever see it.

Tried another Iron Hill beer
Tried another Iron Hill beer from the Wilmington location last night. It was the Framboise de Hill, which is a raspberry fruited lambic. A great beer, a ton better than the awful Lindemans fruited lambics. Not quite a Lou Pepe Kriek or something of that level, but it was a very, very good beer. If all of the Iron Hill beers are even near as good as the two I have had, that would be one awesome lineup.
